Just as I mentioned over in my post about the LEGEND bracelet, I have had this Bushstrap since 2016. So, it’s a little worse for wear, but still very functional. The BushStraps are made of paracord, the same thing used as bungee cord, it’s made for survival. Though I wouldn’t personally like to get into a position where I do need to use it, I do have it on my wrist all the time and have done since I first bought it.
I bought it in South Africa, where I went over to help in the fight for the rhinos. The money that I spent on it went towards the reserve and helped in saving rhinos against poaching. In addition to bracelets, the company also produce and stock lanyards, keychains, dog leads and other accessories. The safety for it is that once you take out the hook, the cord can be unravelled, and you can help yourself out of any tricky situation.
The reason I haven’t taken this bracelet off, is mostly due to the fact that I did tighten it with pliers. My main concern wasn’t that it would break, it was because I was a little worried about losing the pin that holds it together. So, I decided to tighten it and it has now become a part of me, reminding me of the rhinos out in South Africa. I really would like to go back and help how I can over at the wildlife reserve once more. However, for now I will do what I can aiding in conservation from afar and that’s by sharing my adventures and experiences and raising awareness on the species I hold so dear to my heart.
